Good Morning Casserole

My husband's birthday was yesterday and he is a huge breakfast lover.  He wanted me to make him an egg casserole so I found one of my mom's recipes in a cookbook she gave me.  It was super easy and super yummy, too!! Enjoy!!



Good Morning Casserole

Ingredients
1 lb breakfast sausage
6 eggs
3 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
6 slices white bread cubed or broken up (I used homemade Honey Oat bread from my fave little store, Swiss Maid)
1 c shredded cheese

Directions
Crumble and brown the sausage, drain.  Mix eggs, milk, salt and mustard with mixer.  Stir in bread, cheese, and sausage.  Grease 9 x 13 pan or dish.  Pour in mixture.  Cover and refrigerate over night.    Remove 1/2 hour before baking.  Bake uncovered at 350 for 45 minutes.  Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

*Can make and serve same day.
